You can talk about your favorite programs, discuss exciting new products you saw in the exhibit hall, and plan your own future presentation with like-minded librarians.

  • September 25, 2011: The Friends of the SFPL is offering all of the unsold books from their yearly book sale to the Internet Archive for scanning and preservation. Volunteers are needed to pack books into boxes at the Fort Mason Festival Pavilion this Sunday, September 25, any time between 4pm and midnight. Additional information available at: Internet Archive Blog and Facebook

  • October 17 – 19, 2011: Internet Librarian Planning To Go To Internet Librarian 2011 in Monterey, CA. NOCALL Members Can Save $200! The registration deadline was Friday, September 9th, but has been extended until Thursday, September 15th. Internet Librarian brings Web search and tools experts from around the world for panel discussions of how Internet trends are impacting libraries. Plus, web veterans dispense practical advice on how librarians can implement new technologies to improve their workflow and keep current with their user communities. *The 4-Corners Holiday Socials are also an opportunity to give back to our communities. This year, NOCALL is supporting Sleep Train’s Secret Santa Toy Drive for Foster Kids to help ensure that foster children have a bright, cheery holiday season. Please consider bringing a new, unwrapped toy for a child of any age with you to your Holiday Corner gathering. If you cannot make it on December 7th, please drop off a toy at your local Sleep Train Mattress Center, or making a donation online.
