January 26: The January Business Meeting was held virtually, with special guest speaker Beth Adelman, AALL Vice President/President Elect, who congratulated us on our 42nd anniversary and shared information from the national organization pertaining to the new 3-year strategic plan, future AALL Annual Meetings, and membership updates.
May 25: The May Business Meeting was held virtually, with special guest speakers Steve Medley and Angela Gonzalez-Curci, Competitive Intelligence Specialists at Wilson Sonsini.
May 26: An event about Recruiting, Retention, & Resilience: A Collaborative Conversation on Law Library Diversity + Equity was held virtually, co-sponsored by VALL, SWALL, NOCALL, ORALL, LLSDC, and ALLA. VALL also distributed a reading list of resources before the event.
June 17: The NOCALL 2022 Spring Institute was held virtually. The theme was Expanding Access to Knowledge in Difficult Times and it featured keynote speaker Eric Stroshane, Library Services Manager at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh-Hazelwood & News Editor of ALA’s Journal of Intellectual Freedom & Privacy, who spoke about book challenges and other threats to intellectual freedom. All proceeds from the $10 registration fee were donated to the ALA Office for Intellectual Freedom.
