  • January 27, 2015, 11 am – 1:30 pm. NOCALL January Luncheon and Business Meeting at McDermott, Will & Emery, LL.P., 275 Middlefield Road, Menlo Park CA 94025. Bloomberg BNA will be sponsoring the event. Sharon Pate and Basil Fedorchenko, Bloomberg BNA, will provide an educational update about Bloomberg Online content to be followed by a panel discussion of how our law library colleagues are using this service in their work environments.   • January 29, 2015, 5:30 – 8 pm. BayNet – SLA Joint Meeting featuring Sarah Houghton, Librarian in Black, at the CSUEB Oakland Center. Bring your business cards to enter a drawing for gift certificates from Buffalo Bill’s Brewery and a wine tasting at Concannon Winery.   • March 10, 2015. The deadline has been extended! Thinking about going to the NOCALL Spring Institute on April 18th but concerned about the cost?  NOCALL offers grants for the Spring Institute!  The deadline for applications is the end of the day on March 10th and recipients will be notified in time to meet the Early Bird registration deadline of March 13th.  Please fill out a Grant Application found on the NOCALL Grants webpage and submit to CHardy at Hansonbridgett dot com.
  • March 13, 2015. Early bird registration deadline for the 2015 NOCALL Spring Institute.
  • March 14, 2015, 11 am – noon. Mozarella Making for NOCALL members, family and friends at the Alameda County Law Library. If you have a couple hours to spare and you’re LONGHORNING to make mozzarella, join up to 12 NOCALL members (SHARP folks, that group) for a class with Louella, the Milkmaid. Cost is $40.   • Saturday, April 18, 2015, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm: The NOCALL Spring Institute — Too Hot to Handle, Librarians on Fire — was held at Nile Hall at Preservation Park in Oakland.   • March 15, 2015. Deadline for NOCALL Awards nominations. Check out the NOCALL Awards page for descriptions of our chapter’s two Awards:  1) Award for Professional Achievement, and 2) Award for Advocacy.  The page also lists past recipients. Please complete the forms available on the Awards page and send your nominations to Jean Willis anytime between now and March 15, 2015.  Award recipients will be honored at the May NOCALL Business Meeting.
  • Monday, March 23, 2015, at 11:45 p.m. (PST): Polls will close for the 2015 NOCALL Board Election. All eligible voters should have received an email early in March with a link to the SurveyMonkey ballot.  Candidate biographies and additional election details are here.
  • Thursday, May 7, 2015, 10:00 a.m. NOCALL Executive Board Spring Conference Call.  The conference call agenda is here.
  • Wednesday,  May 20, 2015, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  NOCALL  Business and Luncheon Meeting at the Marines’ Memorial Club, 609 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA 94102. Installation of the NOCALL Board — Tara Crabtree, Michael Ginsborg, Mary Pinard Johnson, Rachael Smith, Michele Finerty, Emily Bergfeld, and Jackie Grossman — and presentation of the Professional Achievement Award to Sharon Borbon. Also, voting on proposed changes to the NOCALL Constitution and Bylaws. Information about the proposed changes is available here.
  • June 2015: NOCALL’s 35th anniversary. See the congratulatory letter from NOCALL member and 2014-2015 AALL President Holly Riccio.
  • Saturday, July 18, 2015, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.:  Pacific Chapters Reception at the AALL Annual Meeting in Philadelphia. The reception will be held in the Field House (Upstairs Loft), 1150 Filbert St. (within walking distance of the convention center).
  • Tuesday, October 6, 2015, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: NOCALL Fall Business Meeting and Luncheon, Stanley Mosk Library and Courts Building, 5th Floor Meeting Room, 914 Capitol Mall, Sacramento, CA 95814.
